Matcha Butter Chocolate Cups
These Matcha Butter Chocolate Cups are the best alternative to a peanut butter chocolate cup. You can prepare them at home making the best healthy dessert one could eat. Anything homemade is 100% better than what you might find in the store. These are clean enough you could even consider them a healthy snack to eat.
In a small to medium bowl mix Eatnuts.com Almond Flour, coconut butter, choice of sweetener, and matcha powder. Place in refrigerator for 10-15 minutes.
In the meantime begin to melt the chocolates in either a double boiler or a glass bowl on top of a small pot of boiling water. Add in the coconut oil and continue to stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
Line a muffin tin with cupcake liners and place two teaspoons of melted chocolate into each one. Use the back part of the spoon to push chocolate slightly up the sides of each liner.
Use 1 tablespoon of matcha mixture and roll into a ball. Place a ball into each liner and then use your finger to flatten gently. Next place one tablespoon of chocolate on top in each liner. If you have extra chocolate, distribute it evenly into all of the liners.
In a small bowl mix some matcha powder and sea salt to use as a topping. Sprinkle the topping over the cups and refrigerate until they become firm. Keep chilled until ready to serve. If you prefer to serve them on the softer side allow them to sit out for about 5 minutes.
These chocolate cups resemble chocolate peanut butter cups. The texture on the inside is also similar. The combination of coconut butter and the flavor of the matcha chocolate is splendid.
