  • Maca Cashew Chocolate Cups are so delicious and are excellent for any special occasion. Maca comes from a Peruvian root and is considered a superfood. The Maca root is known for having many nutritional benefits, for example, it is an excellent energy source, balances out hormones, and acts as a love potion. These chocolate cups are perfect for Valentine’s Day.

    Directions

    1. In a double boiler on the stove whisk together cacao butter, coconut oil, sweetener, Maca, cacao powder, and salt until well blended and smooth. Keep on low heat to keep warm during preparation.

    2. Make the Eatnuts.com Homemade Cashew Butter or nut butter of choice for the filling.

    3. Get silicone molds. (We like to use the ones in the shape of cups.) With a spoon or a baster fill the bottom of the molds with chocolate and then place in the freezer to harden.

    4. Place small cashew butter ball in the center and on top of hardened chocolate, and then once again use a baster or spoon to fill the rest of the cups up with chocolate.

    5. Place cups back in the freezer and allow to harden completely. Store the chocolate cups in the freezer or refrigerator in an air-tight container until ready to serve. They melt more quickly than traditional chocolate.

These chocolate cups are delicious and creamy. From the chocolate to the filling they will melt in your mouth with oodles of chocolate flavor. They are perfect on their own or also with your favorite hot beverage. They are so tasty it's hard to believe they are guilt free!

Chocolate has always been and continues to be an all time favorite for most people, especially around the holidays. We now know that pure Cacao is a superfood and is highly nutritionally dense. It’s only when we buy the highly processed chocolate from the stores with all the sugar and additives that chocolate becomes unhealthy.
