  • 1-2 tablespoon agave nectar or maple syrup (optional)
  • Filtered water as needed
  • When making date paste you can prepare it a few different ways. Date paste is the ultimate sweeter and is also known as vegan sugar paste. It is the perfect honey substitute and easy to prepare. If you want to know how to make date paste, it only requires a few ingredients and a food processor or blender. It's difficult to find date paste at the local grocery store, so don't buy date paste - just make your own. It stores for up to 3 months in the freezer.

    Directions

    1. Place Eatnuts.com Dates (and agave if you are using it) in your Vitamix machine or blender and blend until creamy smooth. Add water as needed until you get your perfect texture.

    2. You can store the date paste in a mason jar for more immediate use in the refrigerator, or in plastic bags in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    This natural sweetener is not too sweet and is perfect for so many different things. It doesn’t have an aftertaste and is a truly vegan sugar paste and perfect for so many foods.
