Ingredients List:

  • 1 cup unsalted organic butter
  • 1 egg, organic
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 ¾ cup organic, unbleached flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups Blanched Sliced Almonds
  • Crispy, not too sweet almond treats that are sure to please.


    1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.

    2. Cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat until smooth. Sift together the flour and salt and slowly stir into butter mixture until just blended.

    3. Divide batter in half and place each half in center of two ungreased cookie sheets. Spread batter using a wet spatula. Sprinkle Blanched Sliced Almonds and press gently into dough.

    4. Bake each sheet about 12 minutes, or until edges are lightly browned. Cut hot cookies into 2 inch squares. Return to oven and bake until lightly golden, about 5 minutes. Cool completely.
