  • 1 12oz bag of sea kelp noodles
  • 4 tablespoons sesame oil
  • ½ red onion (chopped)
  • 1 leek (chopped)
  • 1 red bell pepper (chopped)
  • 1 cup chopped cabbage (purple and/or green)
  • 1 cup broccoli heads
  • 6 brussel sprouts (chopped)
  • quarter size fresh ginger (minced)
  • ⅛ cup Crystallized Ginger (chopped)
  • 2-3 garlic cloves (minced or pressed)
  • ¼ cup peanuts
  • 3 scallions (chopped)
  • ¼ cup cilantro (chopped for garnish)
  • 1-2 fresh limes
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds (garnish)

  • Sauce ingredients
  • ½ cup gluten-free tamarin
  • ½ cup vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons Sriracha (more or less depending on how spicy you want it)
  • 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons arrowroot starch
  • For those who love asian fusion but can only have gluten free dishes, you will be happy to know that many asian recipes call for gluten free noodles such as rice noodles, this recipe uses kelp noodles. What makes this recipe a big hit is the amazing sauce and combination of vegetables.


    1. Rinse and drain sea kelp noodles. Chop package into three pieces and set aside for later.

    2. In a medium size bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the sauce and let sit to thicken. Have all your ingredients chopped, minced and ready before starting the next steps.

    3. Place a wok or deep skillet on high heat until a drop of water quickly evaporates.

    4. Add your sesame oil and then the chopped onion, leek and red bell pepper. Stir for 1-2 minutes.

    5. Add your cabbage, broccoli, and brussels sprouts and continue to stir occasionally for approximately 1-2 minutes.

    6. Add in the fresh ginger, Crystallized Ginger, garlic and Peanuts and continue to cook and stir occasionally for another 1-2 minutes or until all veggies are tender.

    7. Add in the fresh ginger, Crystallized Ginger, garlic and Peanuts and continue to cook and stir occasionally for another 1-2 minutes or until all veggies are tender.

    8. Place the noodles, topping each dish with cilantro, sesame seeds, scallions, and Peanuts. You may also add some Crystallized Ginger and a squeeze of fresh lime.

    This dish is so flavorful on so many levels that you could even add some greens to this and convert it into a salad. The ginger is not only spicy and complimentary to the Sriracha and red pepper flakes, but it also enhance the sweetness, giving it a perfect asian flair of spicy and sweet. The kelp noodles are softened by the flavorful sauce yet still have a slight crunch. The peanuts with the fresh lime add the perfect final touches, bringing in a slight tang along with the crunch and creaminess of the Peanuts.
