Banana Pecan Chocolate Peanut Swirl Bread

Ingredients List:

  • 1 ½ cups Almond Flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 large ripe bananas (lots of dark spots)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 ounce agave
  • ½ cup Homemade Peanut Butter
  • ⅓ cup coconut oil (melted)
  • ⅓ cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • ½ semi-sweet chocolate morsels

  • Pecan Praline
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 4 tablespoons Pecan Pieces
  • Wonderful gluten free banana bread bringing in flavors of the south with the pecans and the decadent combination of chocolate and peanut butter is an all time favorite.


    1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a loaf pan with cooking spray and line it with parchment paper. This will make it easier to pull your bread out later.

    2. In a medium bowl, mix the Almond Flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon together.

    3. In a large bowl, mash the bananas until the are smooth and chunk free. Mix in the eggs, agave, Homemade Peanut Butter, oil, applesauce, and vanilla. Slowly mix in the flour mixture in 2 - 4 batches. Divide the batter into two bowls.

    4. Melt the chocolate chips either in a double boiler or in the microwave. If microwaving, avoid burning the chocolate by starting with 30 seconds and continuing in 15 second intervals. Once the chocolate morsels look glossy, stir them around and add them to one of the batter mixtures.

    5. Pour batters into loaf pan, alternating between the two. Using a knife or tooth pick swirl the batter on the top. Do this softly to creating a pattern, but don’t over do it.

    6. Bake in oven for 60 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let bread cool for 15 minutes before pulling it out of the pan.

    7. Prepare the Pecan Praline:
      In a small sauce pan, melt the butter. Add sugar and coconut milk, stirring until the mixtures becomes saucy. Turn off the heat and stir in the vanilla and Pecan Pieces. Pour the sauce over the bread. The Pralines should harden fairly quickly. If the sauce hardens while your are pouring it over the bread, simply reheat the sauce and continue.

    8. Place leftovers in foil in the fridge, which you can enjoy within the week.

    This banana bread is extremely moist and full of rich flavors, from peanut butter and chocolate to banana, each captivating your taste buds separately. The pecan praline topping just gives it that additional southern sweetness and soft crunch in between each gooey bite. Full of richness, each bite leaves you wanting to indulge in another.
