Chocolate and Nut Covered Strawberries
Simple chocolate covered strawberries are a fantastic dessert. Not only are they delicious, but they are also a very sexy dessert. They are a perfect treat for a special night with someone you care about, and they can be given as an extra sweet Valentine’s Day gift. The best ever chocolate covered strawberries recipe is one that is a little creative just like this one. Rather than enjoying just simple chocolate covered strawberries why not dress them up with some delicious nuts like blanched almonds, almonds, or pistachios.
In a double boiler melt chocolate on medium to low heat.
Rinse strawberries, then dry them, leaving the stems on.
Chop the nuts either by using a mallet to crush the nuts in a bag, or place them in a Vitamix machine on low for 15 seconds.
Insert a toothpick thru the top of each strawberry to help dip the strawberry into melted chocolate.
Remove from the chocolate, then roll the chocolate-dipped strawberry into crushed or chopped nuts until fully or partially covered.
Place strawberry on a piece of parchment paper on a plate or baking sheet.
Place in refrigerator until hardened and ready to serve. Be sure to store the chocolate covered strawberries in the refrigerator or freezer in an airtight container.
The juicy sweetness of the strawberries blend well with the hard covered chocolate and crunchy nuts.Almond Recipes, Holiday Recipes, Brazil Nut Recipes, Confection Recipes, Cashew Recipes, Macadamia Nut Recipes, Peanut Recipes, Pecan Recipes, Pie and Dessert Recipes, Pistachio Recipes, Pumpkin Seed Recipes, Lactose-Free Recipes, Vegan Recipes, Walnut Recipes, Raw Recipes
