Ingredients List:

  • 2 cups pitted Dates (soaked for a minimum of 8 hours)
  • 1-2 tablespoon agave nectar or maple syrup (optional)
  • Filtered water as needed
  • Vanilla Date Paste is a great whole foods sweetener and substitute for sugar. There is no such thing as healthy artificial sweeteners. However, we can go to nature and find other alternative sweeteners that are whole food sweeteners like dates. The best substitute for sugar is anything that has not been processed and not made of chemicals. Dates are full of fiber and help the body slow down the way it digests the natural sugars.


    1. Place Dates and agave in a blender or Vitamix machine and mix until creamy and smooth. Add water as needed until you get your perfect texture.

    2. You can store Vanilla Date Paste in a mason jar for more immediate use in the refrigerator, or store in plastic bags in the freezer for up to 3 months.

    This natural sweetener has a slight hint of vanilla and is not overbearing in sweetness. It is a perfect all-natural sweetener for many applications in the kitchen.
