Ingredients List:

  • ½ cup Pecans
  • ½ cup Raw Cashews
  • 4-5 cups water
  • 1 cup Medjool Dates (approximately 4-6)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract or 1 vanilla bean
  • Optional: 2-6 ounces of whiskey or alternative alcohol
  • Around the holidays as people begin to drink egg nog you may ask, is eggnog healthy? If you choose to indulge in a vegan egg nog or dairy free egg nog, chances are you are having a healthy egg nog. You may ask why dairy free? First and foremost, not everyone can digest dairy, so when you offer dairy free you make enjoying the egg nog available to everyone.


    1. Place ingredients preferably into a high powered blender like a Vitamix and then blend on high for 4 minutes or until completely liquified.

    2. Either enjoy as is or pour mixture through a nut bag and remove all the fiber.

    3. Can be enjoyed room temperature or chilled over ice.

    The combination of the Pecans and Cashews together help give this egg nog a density you may find in your traditional eggnog drink. The optional whiskey spices up the drink and ties the egg nog together. The sweetness combined with the nutmeg and cinnamon finishes it off and lets you know its time for the holidays.
