Ingredients List:

  • 2 pounds of broccoli (florets only)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Ground salt and pepper to taste

  • ½ cup parsley
  • ½ cup basil

This pesto sauce recipe also goes well with pasta and broccoli if you’d rather serve it as a main entrée. To make pesto sauce the main things you need are a type of nut, lemon, herbs, salt, pepper, and olive oil. With this pesto sauce recipe, the added parmesan cheese melts into the sauce when placed on roasted broccoli adding in an extra cheesy flavor.

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 500 degrees. On one or two large baking sheets toss the broccoli with olive oil. Season broccoli florets with salt and pepper, then roast in the oven for 8 - 10 minutes, until broccoli is browned and crispy tender. Place the broccoli on a serving dish.

    2. In a Vitamix machine or food processor combine the parsley, basil, Eatnuts.com Brazil Nuts, water, grated lemon, parmesan cheese, olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper until it turns into a smooth pesto sauce.

    3. Drizzle the pesto sauce on top of the broccoli and serve. You can either serve chilled, warm or at room temperature.
